HOW DO I LOG IN TO MOODLE?

Shortly after your enrolment, you will receive a link to Moodle, our Learning Management System. This email will have your login details.

TROUBLESHOOTING MOODLE ISSUES

Common troubleshooting questions can be found in the Help menu in Moodle.

Below are a few simple steps to get you started:

  • Ensure you are using a laptop or desktop computer. Using handheld devices will result in formatting problems.
  • Check which internet browser you're using when you are downloading the document. We know Safari has formatting problems. Google Chrome will be your best option.
  • Check that your pop blocker is set to 'Allow Pop-Ups'. We suggest Googling how to allow this on your web browser.
  • Issues with internet connection can also cause sudden drop outs of the Power Point presentations.
  • Ensure you do not have a work or home firewall preventing the link to the application.
  • Ensure you have clicked the ‘Enable Editing’ button at the top of the screen after initially opening the document.

Please contact our Sales and Service team on 1300 990 810 for further assistance if your issue persists.

What browser should I use to access Moodle?

We recommend and support Google Chrome for the best experience. While other browsers like Internet Explorer, Edge, Safari, or Firefox may work, we cannot guarantee that all functions will operate as intended.

How do I check if pop-up blockers are causing issues with Moodle?

Pop-up blockers can sometimes prevent Moodle content from displaying. Here's how to address this:

  1. Check your web browser's settings under the 'security' section.
  2. Ensure that pop-ups are not blocked.
  3. If you're unsure how to do this, search online for instructions specific to your browser or device.
  4. Restart your device and try accessing Moodle again.

Can I log in to Moodle on a mobile or tablet?

Moodle may not function properly on hand-held devices like mobile phones or tablets due to the wide variety of these devices. For optimal performance, we recommend using a modern desktop or laptop computer running Google Chrome.

WHAT IS MOODLE?

Moodle is Pinnacle’s Learning Platform, sometimes known as a Student Portal. It’s where our students undertake their coursework and communicate with their eLearning Trainer Assessor. Also where you can post questions on the Student Forum and search for previously answered questions.

HOW DO I CONTACT MY TRAINER AND ASSESSOR?

To speak directly with your assessor you can message them directly via the Moodle messaging function. There is an instruction in the Help menu on the Dashboard.

For further assistance, you are welcome to email us at [email protected] or call 1300 670 533 9 am-5 pm AEST.

HOW DO I SAVE MY PROGRESS ONLINE?

If you need to take a break for longer than 10 minutes, it's important to exit the course properly to save your progress.

Depending on your course, you’ll see either an "Exit Activity" link or a "Save and Exit" button. Click this option before stepping away to ensure your work is saved.

If your web browser times out while you're away without properly exiting, the connection to Pinnacle will be lost. While it may appear that your work is being saved, it will not be recorded on our end.
